Vienna: The World's Most Liveable City | Fall 2015

  • Vienna Austria

International Conference and Chapter Meeting

The World's Most Liveable City | 1-4 October 2015

For the fifth year in a row, Vienna has been ranked the Most Livable City in the World by the Mercer International Survey — a review of quality of life, infrastructure, political and economic climates, and cultural standards.

A rich history of architectural influences (such as the Jugendstil, or Art Nouveau movement) and successful accomplishments in public transportation have paved the way for further contemporary architectural and urban developments in the 21st century.

AIA Europe will take you on a journey from past achievements to a modern day Vienna, boasting world-class art museums and urban attractions, in a juxtaposed context of old and new, with a glimpse into the future. We will explore new architectural and urban design projects by Austrian architects and renowned international design firms with guided tours of the facilities and personal insight from project planners.

The Vienna Conference will provide a full educational architectural program and tour plus an experience in Viennese lifestyle, cuisine and music of local flavor.
