Copenhagen Conference: A fantastic conference for a fantastic group of architects
Last month we had 105 architects, sponsors, friends, and other related professionals join AIA Continental Europe for an amazing 4 days in the Danish capital of Copenhagen. Over the course of the weekend, we focused on Danish sustainability and livability, with a wide variety of lectures and discussions. We experienced a different walking tour everyday, allowing for a true experience of the city. These ranged from the Islands Brygge neighborhood along Copenhagen Harbor, the newly constructed Nordhavn neighborhood, as well a tour showing off buildings from the 17th century through to the 21st century, and the development and growth of the Ørestad neighborhood. On the final day of the conference, the Swiss Embassy to Denmark hosted AIA Continental Europe as a part of their Open Embassy program. Additionally, the Conference had 11 Emerging Professionals in attendance as well as 7 students with studies in architecture assisting the organizers.
