The American Institute of Architects Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) is looking AIA Europe members who specialize in Healthcare Design in Europe to be a part of an International Initiatives Committee where healthcare architects can come together to share information. The committee will consist of at least one member from each of the AIA International Chapters that is involved with healthcare architecture. Ultimately, each chapter could have an AAH Component that would hold knowledge sharing events and share healthcare knowledge. The Academy and initiative committee’s missions are:
- To improve the quality of healthcare through design by developing, documenting, and disseminating knowledge; educating healthcare architects and other related constituencies; advancing the practice of healthcare architecture; improving the design of health care environments; affiliating and advocating with others that share our vision and promoting research.
- To assist regional groups of healthcare architects in establishing or enhancing local programs providing knowledge sharing events. It is, also, important to assist in establishing a connection between local and AAH leaders to enhance each other.
Interested members should contact AAH Committee Leader Larry Staples, AIA. email@example.com
